Gospel legend Vuyo Mokoena, who died on Friday of a brain tumour, was an "ambassador of God".

Mokoena died at his home in Sonneveld, Johannesburg.

He began experiencing health problems in February and was admitted to the Linksfield Clinic.

Many musicians and producers who worked with Mokoena have praised him for his ability to change people's lives through his music.
