Michael Joseph Jackson, dubbed the "King of Pop," was born in Gary, Indiana, into a musical family.
The Bethel Wildcats edged Blue Mountain by two points in the closet finish in conference history to win the title.
The eighth of ten children, his father, Joseph, was a steelworker and musician, while his mother, Katherine, worked as a saleswoman and played the piano. Despite his father's strict discipline and alleged emotional abuse, all the Jackson siblings displayed musical talents.
