Prabhas was born on October 23, 1979, in Madras, India, as the youngest of three children.

His father, Surya Narayana Raju, was a producer, while his paternal uncle, Krishnam Raju, was a renowned actor and director in the Telugu film industry. Despite his family connections, Prabhas initially hesitated to pursue acting due to his shy nature.

However, at the age of 18, he decided to give it a try, much to the delight of his father.

Early Career

Prabhas's cinematic debut was in the 2002 romantic drama "Eeswar." He played a poor villager who falls in love with a wealthy woman.
